Help Us Build a Children's Hospice in 2025

How your donations are allocated
At Rio’s Legacy, we prioritise transparency and accountability in how donations are allocated to ensure maximum impact and benefit for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Here’s how your donations are used:
70% of your contributions go towards building hospices and facilities to support and nurture children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
15% of your donations go towards supporting the work of Bear Cottage in Manly. This support has funded several bereavement camps for families, provided new equipment and resources for children staying at Bear Cottage, and supplied over 6,198 meals for more than 2,000 families who have called Bear Cottage home.
10% of your donations go towards supporting children in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. This support has so far covered the cost of accommodation for over 420 families, including extended families staying in external accommodation. These families’ children have spent over 2,248 nights in the ICU, providing comfort and relief during challenging times.
The remaining 5% supports various pediatric palliative care institutions across Australia, extending our reach and support to families in need nationwide.
